Message to our Subscribers, Advertisers, and Readers

We are sad to report that this will be the final issue of the Advocate.

For over twenty-eight years, the Advocate has worked hard to serve our community by providing you with pages full of news from our local area. But, when we started, cell phones weren't in general use and social media didn't exist.

It’s no secret that times are different, and the newspaper has become irrelevant to many people, making it difficult for small newspapers to remain financially feasible.

The Advocate has not been immune to this changing landscape and, as such, we must now bid farewell.

We appreciate the wonderful support of our staff, advertisers and subscribers throughout the years. It has been an honor and privilege to serve our community with this paper.

28 years, 2,657 editions and over 30,000 pages of news.  We are proud of what we have done, but we are also realistic about the future.  We thank you sincerely for your loyalty over the years.
